DAY 10 OF 30

WEEK 2: Planting Truth in Hard Soil

Focus: Replacing lies with the truth of God’s Word to re-root our identity.

Day 10: God Is With You in the Fire

"Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods." Daniel 3:25

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were thrown into the fire for refusing to bow to a false god. And what was the result? The presence of Jesus showed up in the flames.

God didn’t keep them from the fire—He met them in it.

That is good news for us as we walk through our valleys and encounter the enemy's flames meant to destroy us. God is there.

How often do we beg God to pull us out, when what He really wants is to show us that He’s in it with us? That His presence is more powerful than the flames.

The world says that suffering means abandonment. But the Word says suffering is a place of communion. A sacred place where we can experience the nearness of Christ in a way we couldn’t have otherwise.

Maybe you're in the fire right now. Maybe all you see is the flames around you, and fear is setting in. Hold fast, friend. You are not alone.

God wastes nothing. And the struggle that we feel might consume you is the very thing God wants to turn into a powerful testimony of His glory and goodness.

You can trust God to show up.

Reflection Questions:

  • What fire are you walking through now?
  • Where can you see God's presence in it?
  • How can you trust Him more deeply today?

About this Plan

Rooted: 30 Days to Strengthen Your Faith Through Struggle

We often view struggle as a bad thing to be avoided. Who wants pain, right? But what if it's in the struggle that God does some of his best refining work? What if it's in the struggle we are strengthened for the journey ahead? Jesus told us we would have trials - but we can take heart because we never walk the valley's alone. Join me for 30 days as we travel through scripture and strengthen our faith together in the face of struggle.
