Anxiety Does Not Define Me: Your Identity Is in God

DAY 2 OF 8

WHEH FAITH FEELS TIRED

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
— Psalm 34:18 (NIV)

Sometimes we can’t even pray.
At times, the mind screams so loudly that the heart falls silent.
You try to believe, but you feel paralyzed.
You breathe, but it’s as if no air enters.

👉 That too is faith.
Faith is not the absence of symptoms. It is resistance in the midst of them.

Anxiety makes you think you are behind God’s timing.
But the truth is this: God never moves away from you.

God’s silence is not a rejection.
It is space for you to be human, to feel, and still be loved.

Many women think God only receives them when they are “fine.”
But even Jesus, in the Garden of Gethsemane, felt deep anguish (Luke 22:44 - NIV) and asked the Father for help.
He understands your pain.

💡 When your faith feels tired, it’s not time to walk away.
It’s time to surrender.

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”
— 1 Peter 5:7 (NASB)

God is not waiting for you to get strong before drawing near.
He comes close precisely while you are struggling.

🧠 Therapeutic Technique of the Day:

Writing a Letter of Compassion to Your Anxious Self

Therapeutic writing is one of the most effective tools for emotional self-regulation and cognitive restructuring.

✍️ Write:
“Dear me, the one who feels anxious today…”

Say to yourself what you would say to a dear friend: with love, empathy, and no judgment.
Acknowledge your struggles, validate your exhaustion, and affirm your worth.

Finish with:
“You don’t have to carry it all alone. God is taking care of you right now, even if you can’t see it.”

📚 Verses to Meditate and Declare

  • “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” — Psalm 23:4 (NIV)
  • “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 (NIV)
  • “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” — Psalm 4:8 (NIV)
  • “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” — Psalm 56:3 (ESV)

✅ Practical Challenge: Reconnecting with His Presence

For 5 minutes today:

  1. Play soft instrumental or worship music.
  2. Sit in stillness.
  3. Repeat softly:
“Lord, even without strength, I return to Your presence. Calm my heart. Remind me I am not alone.”

Allow yourself to feel. Tears are allowed. Silence too.

🧩 Integration of Body–Mind–Spirit

  • Body: Take three deep breaths whenever racing thoughts appear.
  • Mind: Every time the thought I can’t handle this arises, respond with:
“The Lord is my strength and my shield.” - Psalm 28:7 - (NIV)
  • Spirit: Remember: you don’t have to “feel God” to know that He is there.

📌 Final Affirmation

“Even tired, I am still loved.
Even anxious, I am still remembered.
Even without words, I am still His daughter.
God is here. And that is enough for me today.”
