He Drew Near: A Christmas Journey of Hope and Presenceનમૂનો

Let the Children Come
In Jesus’ day, children weren’t seen as important. They had no status, no voice. But Jesus welcomed them, embraced them and even said the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
His invitation was simple: “Let the little children come to me” (Matthew 19:14). And it still stands.
Christmas is full of wonder, and children often remind us how to see it. But this season also reminds us of the many children around the world who suffer in silence — who need food, protection, love and a voice.
Proverbs 31 calls us to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. That includes children — whether they’re near us or far away. Every act of kindness, advocacy or presence offered in Jesus’ name matters.
Reflection Question:
Is there a child — or a group of children — you can bless, protect or invest in this season?
Prayer:
Jesus, thank you for loving children and showing us how to welcome them. Open our eyes to the needs of the vulnerable. Teach us to protect and serve them with your compassion. Amen.

About this Plan

Christmas is the story of a God who comes close. In this 12-day devotional, we reflect on how Jesus stepped into our world with humility, hope and love — not as a distant king but as one who draws near to the lowly and the waiting. Each day offers Scripture, reflection and prayer to help us slow down and see how the birth of Christ speaks to our everyday lives. His coming isn’t just something to celebrate. It’s something to experience. May this journey lead you to wonder, worship and a deeper awareness of his nearness this season.
