Forever Open: A Pilgrimage of the Heartનમૂનો

A Life of Jubilee
In ancient Israel, Jubilee was a year unlike any other. Debts were erased. Prisoners were freed. The land was allowed to rest. Everything that was broken had a chance to be made whole again. It was a reset, both spiritually and physically.
Jesus came to do for our hearts what Jubilee did for the land. He said, “Yes, I am the door. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and find good pastures.”
This is more than a metaphor. It is the truth that sits at the center of the Gospel. The door to a life of Jubilee, which once stood closed because of sin, is now wide open. Jesus opened it through His death and resurrection.
Do not allow the gravity of that truth to escape you. Sin and death were not strong enough to hold down the author of life. Jesus’ victory over the grave is one we are all invited to share. Not just for a moment, but across a lifetime and into eternity.
Learn from the faithful who came before you. Do not allow sin’s false sense of familiarity to draw you away from the life Jesus won for you.
Reflect:
1. Are there areas in your life where you are still choosing sin’s familiarity over the freedom Jesus offers?
2. Is Jesus’ victory over sin and death something you simply know about, or something you participate in?
3. If you are living a life of Jubilee through a friendship with Jesus, who is someone you could invite to share it with you?
About this Plan

You may not be walking the streets of Rome this Year of Jubilee, but your heart is still on a journey: a pilgrimage of the heart. This five day plan explores what it means to live as a pilgrim of hope; to long for something greater, to wrestle with sin and discover the freedom that can only be found in the mercy of Jesus. We would like to thank OneHope for providing this plan.
