Daniel - Standing Firmનમૂનો

As followers of Jesus, we might find ourselves in situations where the people around us live differently. Sometimes the way others choose to live doesn’t honor and obey God. People might choose to be unkind, break the rules, hurt others, or do the wrong thing. We might feel pressured to do something we know is wrong. We might feel pressure when the people around us are all doing the wrong thing and they want us to join in. We might feel like we could be labelled as ‘uncool’ if we don’t go along with what everyone else is doing. We could even find that we get treated differently because of how we choose obey God.

Just like Daniel we can stand firm. God is with us. When we find ourselves in a situation like that we can say, “Hey, that’s not for me. I’m not going to do that”, or “I’m going to be kind to that person instead”, or “I think we should do the right thing”. When we feel tempted to disobey, we can ask God to help us. We can’t stand firm all on our own, we need God’s help. We learn from the life of Daniel and other heroes in the Bible that God is always with us. God sent Jesus as an example for us and the Holy Spirit to live with us and be our guide. Stand firm and obey God.
