There's Hope For Todayનમૂનો

Hitler was not the first despot to seek the destruction of the Jews. From antiquity, they have fought to survive in a hostile world. God has miraculously delivered His people again and again.
On the day of her rebirth in 1948, Israel was attacked on three borders. She prevailed. Throughout modern times, all attacking armies have ultimately given up ground to Israel. To this day, there is a virulent strain of enmity living in the Middle East, working for the complete annihilation of the Jewish nation.
How contemporary the book of Esther seems against this modern backdrop. The villain of the book of Esther was an evil man named Haman. For vanity alone he plotted genocide. This fact alone must place him in a rogue’s gallery of despicable humanity. Surely in Haman we see the worst of men. He hated a race. He hated the innocent. He hated the unknown. Offended by Mordecai, he revealed a grotesque arrogance.
This same arrogance lives today in the bigot’s heart. He judges himself superior. He hates without reason. He strikes the weak, revealing a cowardly heart.
Don’t allow even a dusting of bigotry to pollute your soul. Remember Haman. Bigots often hang on their own gallows (see Esther 7:10).
