Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his garments among them by casting lots.

Jesus said to him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your empire.”

Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” Having said this, he breathed his last.

When they came to the place that is called “The Skull”, they crucified him there along with the criminals—one on the right and one on the left.

It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, because the sun’s light failed. And the veil of the temple was torn down the middle.

When the centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying, “Certainly this was a righteous man.”
