DAY 2 OF 5

FAST FORWARD

Moving forward with God doesn’t mean skipping steps; it means refusing to stay stuck. Forward is not accidental; it’s a decision. Our faith must live in the forward position, but our direction has to be shaped by God’s Word. His Word doesn’t always light everything at once. It lights the path in front of us. This means progress requires presence. You can’t move forward with confidence if you aren’t listening to what God is saying right now.

When we’re all-in on God’s Word, everything becomes clearer. But when hurt, pain, or even familiarity creeps in, we tend to pull back.

And when we pull back from His Word, we don’t just slow down. We allow darkness to settle in. Things that once felt obvious start to feel confusing. What was once clear becomes heavy.

In the Transformation Church sermon, “Fast Forward,” we are reminded that we can’t avoid difficulty. You can’t skip discomfort, but you can move through it faster through surrender.

You can’t skip distraction, but you can accelerate it by becoming obsessed with obedience. You can’t skip disappointment, but you can fast forward if you D.A.R.E. to Dream again, Ask again, Risk again, and Engage again. God doesn’t remove the process, but He does empower progress.

Going forward always invites opposition. Sometimes it’s old mindsets, fear, or religious habits resisting change. Sometimes it’s actual people or systems that push back. What you avoid doesn’t disappear; it just gains influence.

You cannot go around opposition, and you cannot live as a professional avoider. Jesus showed us another way. When He wasn’t received, He didn’t shut down, He kept going. Forward movement doesn’t require approval; it requires obedience. You don’t need perfect conditions to keep going. You just need confidence in who God says you are.

You may not be able to skip it, but you don’t have to stay in it. With God, you can fast forward.

Reflection:

Where have you felt stuck instead of moving forward?

What would it look like to surrender, obey, or D.A.R.E. again in this season?

Prayer:

God help me to move forward and not avoid. Help me have confidence in Your Word and give me clarity for the path ahead. I choose obedience over distraction and courage over fear. Teach me how to go through it by trusting You as I walk through the process. In Jesus’ name, amen!
