The Bible is the most amazing book that has ever been written!
God used forty different men, from very different backgrounds, over a time frame of 1,500 years to write down the words of Scripture. The recording of God’s Word took place on three different continents: Asia, Africa, and Europe. The Scriptures were written in three different languages: Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek.
Yet, despite all these different factors, the entire book agrees and has proven to be true in every area, including history, archeology, and science!
If you asked even ten authors today to write about the same event or philosophy, you would have ten very different stories; but when it comes to the Bible, God’s story, the entire book agrees. This leads us to believe that the Bible has just one Author--God! He is the only explanation for how many different writers could write different parts of the same story and have it all agree, even down to the finest detail.
Because God is the Author of the Bible, we can trust that the words contained within are God’s Word! As you read the Bible today, meditate on the fact that you are reading God’s words for mankind, written specifically to you!
