How did God write down His Word for mankind?

In 2 Peter 1:21, the Bible tells us that God used men to write down the words of Scripture. The Holy Spirit told them the words to say as they wrote. These men were not only believers in God, but they were also godly. This relationship with God assures us that they were led by the Holy Spirit.

Even though the words of the Bible were penned by human hands, God is the One Who told them the specific words to write. We know this because these men wrote prophecies that came true, hundreds of years later, with 100% accuracy. We also know this claim is true because the words of Scripture demonstrate a deep understanding of science, thousands of years before any scientists would make the same discoveries.

While God used human authors to pen the words of Scripture, we can rest assured that God is the One who led them in what to write. Humans held the pen, but God moved the hand and heart.
