21 Days Prayer & Fasting "Align in Promise"Näide

PRIDE BRINGS DOWN, HUMILITY LIFTS UP
Have you ever felt the desire to be recognized, praised, or noticed for your personal achievements? The longing to be appreciated is natural. Yet, when our focus shifts from glorifying God to elevating ourselves, pride begins to quietly take root in our hearts. The people of Babel built their tower not to openly rebel against God, but to make a name for themselves. They wanted to be at the center of everything—and that became the beginning of their downfall.
Pride always starts in a heart that stops depending on God. When we trust more in our intelligence, experience, or position, we unknowingly dethrone God from the seat of our hearts. Scripture reminds us that Lucifer fell because he wanted to be equal with the Most High (Isaiah 14:12-15). This shows that every time a person exalts themselves, they are walking the same path—a path that ultimately leads to destruction.
Yet the grace of God still offers hope to those willing to humble themselves. Jesus Christ, “who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made Himself nothing” (Philippians 2:6-8), is the ultimate example of humility. He showed that true glory does not come from greatness, but from obedience.
When we choose to yield, acknowledge our limitations, and give all glory to God, we open the way for Him to lift us up in His time (1 Peter 5:6). Humility is not merely a gentle attitude—it is the deep awareness that without God, we are nothing.
Pride builds towers that crumble, but humility builds altars that endure forever.

PRAYER POINTS
● Give thanks for God’s loving rebuke that reminds us not to exalt ourselves.
● Pray that our hearts may be free from the spirit of pride and that we may always learn to depend on God.
● Ask that our lives may reflect the humility of Christ—in ministry, work, and relationships—so that God’s name alone is glorified.
