What About the Walls?

DAY 4 OF 4

Strategy For War – Building In The Midst Of Battle

Rebuilding the wall is not simply a physical task—it is a spiritual act of war.. It is no coincidence that Nehemiah was called to rebuild in Kislev, the Jewish month known for the development of prophetic insight and divine tactics. In the same way, we must not rebuild blindly; we must rebuild with strategy.

Kislev reminds us that the work of restoration is not just about order—it’s about protection. Walls don’t only beautify; they shield. The enemy benefits from broken walls. A scattered people are easier to intimidate, discourage, and distract. But when God calls His people to restore the breaches, He also equips them for the warfare that follows. Just as Nehemiah faced Sanballat and Tobiah, we too will face mocking voices, spiritual resistance, and internal pressure—but we must not retreat.

This is not a passive season. This is a time for targeted warfare. There is a saying: "We are not waiting for the enemy to come to our camp—we have gone on his." Our very commitment to build puts us in direct opposition to darkness. But our warfare is not carnal; our weapons are mighty through God. Praise becomes our battle cry. Worship becomes our war drum. Focused worship—declaring who God is in the face of adversity—is our strategy.

The enemy will try to convince you that your efforts are feeble, your prayers are ineffective, and your dreams are foolish. He mocks us in the midnight hour, whispering lies about your progress and power. But when you stand in focused worship, declaring Jehovah Nissi, El Shaddai, and Jehovah Sabaoth, you engage in divine warfare. You are not just worshiping—you are warring with truth.

In this season, God is calling you to rebuild with intentionality. Rebuild your personal wall. Rebuild your family wall. Rebuild the wall around the body of Christ. And as you do, be aware: resistance does not mean you're wrong—it means you’re rebuilding what threatens the enemy.

Let your faith be louder than your fear. Let your strategy be worship. Let your strength be found in standing firm.

Reflection Questions:

  1. In what ways has the enemy tried to mock or discourage your restoration efforts?
  2. Are there areas in your life where you need to establish a stronger spiritual wall of protection?
  3. What names of God do you need to begin declaring regularly in this season?
  4. How can you incorporate focused worship as a consistent war strategy this month?

Action Step:

Choose three names of God that personally resonate with your current battle (e.g., Jehovah Nissi – The Lord My Banner; El Roi – The God Who Sees Me; Jehovah Shalom – The Lord is Peace). Each day this week, begin your day by declaring these names aloud in prayer and praise. Make focused worship your first line of defense.

About this Plan

What About the Walls?

God is calling His people to rebuild the spiritual walls that have been neglected—both personally and corporately. This plan awakens a Nehemiah-like burden, pushes us to repent, inspect, intercede, and build with focused worship, bold faith, and divine strategy. We are not spectators—we are builders, and now is the time to arise.
