7 Keys for Spiritual WarfareNäide

3. SPIRITUAL WARRIORS TAKE STEPS OF FAITH TO OVERCOME THE ENEMY
David was a man of faith. He initiated fighting Goliath in the same way that he went after the bear and the lion. David saw an enemy who was defying the armies of the living God, and he actively stepped into the fight!
Spiritual warfare is about standing firm against the enemy’s schemes. But a spiritual warrior is also proactive. When they see an enemy ravaging the flock, a spiritual warrior goes after them! They don’t sit back and wait for someone else to fight the battle. There is nothing passive about spiritual warfare. Spiritual warfare involves being proactive in prayer, praise, and perseverance.
Spiritual warfare is not a battle against people; it is a fight against the principalities and powers of darkness. There is a very real enemy, the devil, who is trying to destroy marriages, families, churches, communities, cities, and nations. Satan’s agenda will never be overcome by complacent Christians who are sitting passively waiting for things to change.
As believers, we need a fresh revelation of our God-given authority. Remember that the devil is not the equal opposite to God - he is a created being, the equal opposite to the archangel Gabriel or Michael. Jesus has won the victory, and Satan is defeated!
Friends, we must be aware of the enemy’s schemes. Because the devil knows the power of prayer, he will do everything he can to stop you praying. So, if you struggle to pray, or if you have no idea where to start in the area of spiritual warfare, I encourage you to ask someone to disciple you. Be intentional about learning from someone who is a prayer warrior. Pray together, receive from them, and then activate what you have learned and received in your personal life.
Spiritual warriors don’t shrink back from the fight – we step in by faith through God’s divine power and authority. There is power in our prayer as we partner with what God wants to do!
