21 Days of Selfess LivingNäide

Do you ever feel that:
• You don’t have the right words to say?
• You don’t understand things well enough?
• You don’t have enough faith in God?
• You don’t do enough for other people?
Take a deep breath and find encouragement in knowing that there is something far more important.
Read 1 Corinthians 12:31 and 1 Corinthians 13:1-3:
Some translations describe the phrase in the first verse that says, "a way of life that is best of all" as “the most excellent way.” We can be distracted by trying to accomplish things that are more easily seen or admired, but the greatest way is the way of love.
Mother Teresa said it this way, “Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love.” Instead of pressuring yourself to do something impressive, focus on choosing the most excellent way of love.
Questions to consider:
- As you go through your day, ask yourself, “How can I choose the way of love?”
- Who comes to your mind as an example of being loving? How do they show love?
An action step to take:
Read through 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. Choose one of the phrases about love to focus on today.
