When Trust Becomes TestimonyNäide

God is Loving
The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying:
“I have loved you with an everlasting love;
I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” (Jeremiah 31:3, NIV)
At the core of everything is God’s love. It is full, filling, and fulfilling. We love because of God’s love, and He sent Jesus to save us because of His great love. It’s incomprehensible, undeterrable, and doesn’t go away. His love doesn’t change on a whim, and it endures and is put into action.
When you question whether you are loveable, His Word reminds you that He has loved you from the beginning. There is nothing we can do to earn God’s love and approval; His character is love and we are created from that love. People may disappoint you or pull back their affection, but God’s river of love is always flowing, always faithful, and always available. He draws us close with His kindness and is a safe place for us to rest.
You are loved deeply without question by a loving God. He delights in you, rejoices over you, and has rescued you from the dangers of sin because of His love and mercy. Jesus shows us the heart of the Father, full of care, sacrifice, and love. Remember how you are seen, known, and loved.
The truth for today is: God is loving. His heart is for us. Lean into His love.
Prayer:
God, You are loving. Thank You that You have loved me first and lavish Your love on me. I want to rest in Your everlasting love. Amen.
Reflection Question:
In what ways has God’s love drawn near to you recently?
