Purify Your Mind Series (Part 3) by Joe KirbyNäide

You’re Still Alive!
"He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life." (1 John 5:12)
Many Christians look at their performance, see their imperfect repentance, and begin to doubt if they ever began the race in the first place. But if a nurse takes the pulse of a weak man and his heart is beating faintly, is that man still alive? Of course he is! Likewise, your heart might be faintly beating for the things of God, but you must not assume you are still dead in your trespasses and sins. Instead, you need to exercise yourself unto godliness, to strengthen your spiritual heart through prayer, study, and fellowship.
Once God imputes life into the human soul, He does not retract it. How can we sit in the heavenly places on Tuesday, but make our bed in Sheol on Friday? How can our sins be removed and buried at the bottom of the sea today, but tomorrow we stand condemned in the presence of God? We all go through seasons of doubt and unbelief because of our failings, but I want to remind you to keep your eyes on Christ and remember you are saved by grace alone! The next time the Devil whispers these thoughts in your ear, write this little acronym down: G.R.A.C.E.—God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense.
