Raising Kingdom-Minded Children in a Broken World - 30-Day DevotionalNäide

Day 9 – The Power of Prayer with Your Child
Scripture: “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” – Matthew 18:20 (NIV)
Reflection
Prayer is one of the greatest gifts we can give our children. When we pray with them, we are showing them that God is near and that He cares about every detail of life. It does not have to be long or fancy. Sometimes the simplest prayers are the most powerful.
As children grow up hearing us pray with them and for them, they learn that prayer is natural. They begin to see that prayer is not just for emergencies but for every moment of life. Over time, they will feel confident to pray on their own because they have experienced prayer as part of daily life.
Biblical Affirmation for Your Children
“My children will grow up knowing prayer as a natural and powerful part of life with God.”
Prayer
Lord, thank You for giving us the gift of prayer. Teach me to pray with my children in ways that feel simple and real. May our prayers together draw them closer to You and help them know that You are always with them. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Step for Parents
Take one moment today to pray with your child out loud. It can be as simple as thanking God for something good or asking Him for help in a small situation.
