Fighting Injustice With Art and FaithNäide

The fight against injustice is a global effort involving many different professionals: legal experts, law enforcement, social workers, government agencies, and scholars.
But the artist also plays a crucial, often overlooked, role in this noble goal. Artists cast a wide net. They might not capture criminals or wrongdoers, but they can catch people's attention and capture their imagination and hearts.
Creativity can uniquely mobilize individuals who might otherwise remain unaware or disengaged. Every part of the body of Christ has a role to play.
Artists, through their storytelling, ignite the passion and commitment needed for change, transforming apathy into advocacy.
Action Point:
Is there a cause or injustice that resonates with you? Research an organization or individual who is using creativity (storytelling, art, music, media) to raise awareness for this cause. Pray for them and consider how you might support their efforts, even in a small way, even if it's sending them an encouraging note on social media.

About this Plan

Long ago, a writer named Hannah More used her poems to help end slavery. Another writer, Alexandr Solzhenitsyn, wrote stories that showed how terrible forced labor was in his country. Just like them, today's artists can use the gifts God has given them combined with the truth of God's word to make a difference in the world. This plan will encourage you to use your God-given talents to stand up for truth and help others in need.
