16 Characteristics of the God-Kind of Love - 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

DAY 10 OF 16

Day 10 – Love does not rejoice in iniquity

Do you know that there are some people who rejoice when others commit iniquity (meaning, display gross unfair behavior)? In Africa, some co-workers go as far as creating bad scenes for a good employee to get fired. That tells you how wicked the world has become today. Yesterday, we learned that love thinks no evil. However, today’s characteristic of love in focus, first written in 1 Corinthians 13:6, tells us that there is much more.

If love doesn’t think any evil, then surely it doesn’t rejoice in iniquity. In other words, love never dreams, wishes, or even thinks of the falling of another fellow, especially if the person is a believer. However, it’s disheartening that while some are working hard to rise and improve their lives, others are working just as hard to pull them down.

How do you think of others? Good or evil? If it is evil, then you need to repent. Maintain a winning mentality for everyone, and make an effort to correct others when they make a mistake. If such people don’t take your correction, at least you’ve done your part.

You are a blessing.
