Perseverance & Endurance - Holding Onto Hope in Times of ChallengeNäide

Scripture is full of farming analogies. Jesus often used parables from agriculture to teach those around him. There is something about changing seasons and the passage of time that can teach us great lessons in patient endurance. We love the abundant harvest seasons, but the leaner seasons can sometimes be more of a challenge. This is where patience, endurance, and perseverance really bear fruit! (Pun intended!)
In today’s reading, James encourages believers to practice patience. What encouragement can you take from the passage to apply to your own life?

About this Plan

No-one likes to suffer. It isn’t a pleasant experience. It is painful, uncomfortable and a place to get out of as quickly as possible. However, there is one thing Jesus promised that we often skim over - ‘In this world you will have trouble.’ – John 16:33. So, what is our stance when trouble comes our way? Let us take a journey into what it means to persevere and endure so that when we face times of testing, we do so with the right heart posture.
