DAY 25 OF 30

Day 25: Trust in the Blood of Jesus

“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.” Ephesians 1:7 (NIV)

The Blood speaks.

Abel's blood cried out from the ground for justice and vengeance. But the Blood of Jesus speaks something infinitely better: It cries out for mercy.

The Greek word haima means “life.” Trusting in the Blood of Christ is trusting in His life given as a ransom for you.

When the Bible says we have “redemption through His Blood,” it is using the imagery of the slave market. Jesus paid the price to set you free. The transaction is complete. You no longer belong to sin. Now you belong to grace.

Yet, we often struggle to believe this. Guilt makes us think we don’t deserve forgiveness. The memory of past mistakes tries to convince us that they still condemn us. But feelings and memories don’t have the final word. The Blood of Christ speaks louder than both and on our behalf.

When Satan comes with accusations, you don’t need to prove anything with your own goodness. Point to the Blood.

If he says, “Remember what you did,” the Blood answers, “Forgotten.”

If he claims, “You are guilty,” the Blood answers, “Forgiven.”

If he insists, “You cannot be saved,” the Blood answers, “Redeemed.”

The Blood of Christ is not a feeling that comes and goes; it is an eternal fact. On the cross, Jesus shed His Blood for you once and for all. The Greek word for forgiveness, aphesis, means to release the debt, complete removal, not temporary covering. Your sins are not hidden in some corner. They have been blotted out.

This shows that salvation is completely in God's hands. He planned it before the foundation of the world, fulfilled it at the right time, and applies it in your life today. What He has done, no one can undo.

Therefore, when your conscience accuses you, trust in the Blood. When your thoughts condemn you, trust in the Blood. When circumstances suggest that God has abandoned you, trust in the Blood. It speaks of eternal realities that no feeling or situation can change.

My Prayer:

Lord Jesus, I trust in Your precious Blood, which speaks louder than guilt and louder than accusations. When my heart condemns me, may Your Blood speak on my behalf. When the enemy accuses me, may I defeat him with the finished work of the Cross. Help me to rest not in my feelings, but in the fact that Your Blood has completely removed my sins. Thank you, because in You I am clean, free, and secure. Amen.

Questions to Reflect:

1. When guilt arises, do you lean on your feelings or on the Blood of Christ?

2. What does it practically mean to "plead the Blood" when faced with an accusation or spiritual attack?
