BE a PILLAR

DAY 2 OF 7

Day 2: Presence – More Than Just Showing Up

Anyone can be in the room and still be absent.

You’ve seen it before—at the dinner table, on the job site, even in church. Men who are physically present but emotionally, spiritually, even relationally… absent. Their body is there, but their presence is missing.

But a PILLAR isn’t just present—he’s a Presence. One that carries weight, brings stability, and leaves virtue in the air even after he’s gone.

A pillar doesn’t blend into the background. It supports everything around it. A man of presence changes the temperature of a room just by walking in. Not by being loud, but by being anchored, intentional, and attuned to the moment.

Jesus was the ultimate model. He didn’t just show up—He entered spaces with purpose. With weight. With power. And people noticed.

Your family doesn’t need a man who’s just “around.” They need one who is engaged, attentive, and anchored in the Spirit. Your family, your church, your community—they’re not looking for someone who checks boxes. They’re starving for someone who brings life, order, and godly strength with him.

You don’t have to say much. You just have to be rooted in the right things. Let God build you into the kind of man that, when he walks into a room, people feel it—not out of fear, but respect for him and love radiating from him.

You can impress from a distance, but you can only impact up close.” – Howard Hendricks

🏛️ BE A PILLAR:
Be fully present for someone today—put down your phone, listen with your eyes, and let your presence linger with love and intentionality.

Would those closest to you describe you as present or distracted? What does carrying “weight” in your presence look like in your home?

About this Plan

BE a PILLAR

Passive men don’t build anything worth standing on. They shrink back, spectate, and wait for someone else to rise up. But the world doesn’t need more observers. It needs PILLARS—men who are strongholds of faith in a shifting world, men who take on responsibility, and are built to leave a legacy. In a world of passive men, BE A PILLAR.
