Miracles and Mysteries: Matthew 8-13Näide

Have you ever tried to bargain with Jesus? Demanding that He prove to you with a sign that He is who He says He is?
The Pharisees demanded a sign, but Jesus refused their empty skepticism. They had already seen healings, exorcisms, and miracles—yet, they still didn’t believe. Instead, Jesus points them to the sign of Jonah. Just as Jonah was in the belly of the fish for three days, so Jesus will be buried and rise again.
Here is the glory of Christ’s all-nations mission. The pagan Ninevites repented at Jonah’s preaching. The Queen of Sheba traveled far to seek Solomon’s wisdom. Yet now, the One who is greater than Jonah and Solomon has come—Jesus, bringing the fullness of God’s wisdom and salvation. And still, many rejected Him and will reject Him.
Today, ponder this: Are you seeking Jesus as Lord, or just looking for another sign?
