Miracles and Mysteries: Matthew 8-13Näide

What does real faith look like? Is it about feeling close to God, or is it about trusting Him, even when you can’t see the outcome?
A Roman centurion—an outsider, a Gentile, a man of power—comes to Jesus, not for himself, but for his suffering servant. His request is simple: “Just say the word, and my servant will be healed.” He understands something profound about Jesus—His authority. Just as the centurion commands his soldiers and they obey, he recognises that Jesus’ words hold power over sickness and death.
This amazes Jesus. Nowhere in Israel has He seen faith like this. The centurion doesn’t need signs or proof—he trusts that Jesus’ word is enough. And it is. At that very moment, the servant is healed.
Today, ponder this: Do you trust Jesus' word? Are there areas in your life where you hesitate, waiting for a sign instead of simply believing in His power and authority?
