Miracles and Mysteries: Matthew 8-13Näide

What do you think your deepest need is? If Jesus stood before you today, what would you ask Him to fix?
A group of men brought their paralysed friend to Jesus, hoping for healing. But instead of immediately restoring his body, Jesus says, “Take heart, my son; your sins are forgiven.” It’s an unexpected moment. The teachers of the law are outraged—only God can forgive sins. But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, proves His authority by healing the man completely.
This miracle points to a greater reality: our deepest need isn’t physical healing, success, or comfort—it’s forgiveness. Jesus came not just to fix symptoms but to deal with the root of our brokenness: sin.
Today, ponder this: Do you come to Jesus just for help in your circumstances, or do you recognise your greater need for His forgiveness?
