Miracles and Mysteries: Matthew 8-13Näide

What do you fear losing most? Your reputation? Financial security? Relationships?
Jesus tells His disciples not to fear those who can harm the body but not the soul. Instead, they are to fear God alone. He assures them of the Father’s deep care—if even a sparrow does not fall without God’s will, how much more are the disciples of value? Jesus gives this promise: “Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.”
Here is the glory of Christ’s authority. He calls for complete allegiance, not by force, but by securing His people in the unshakable care of God. Just as the prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 51:7-8 exhorts Israel not to fear the reproach of men, Jesus calls His disciples to the same unwavering trust.
Today, ponder this: What would change in your life if you truly feared God more than the opinions or threats of people?
