Miracles and Mysteries: Matthew 8-13Näide

Where do you turn when life feels overwhelming? Do you go for a long walk in a park? Do you call up a friend or family member for encouragement? All these things are good and helpful, but in this passage, Jesus offers us something even better.
Jesus’ invitation is unlike any other. The world offers rest through escape, achievement, or self-care, but Jesus offers true rest for the soul. He reveals the glory of God by showing that true knowledge of the Father comes through Him alone. The wise and self-sufficient miss it, but the humble receive it.
His words echo Jeremiah 6:16, where God calls His people to walk in the “ancient paths” and find rest. Yet here, Jesus doesn’t just show the way—He is the way. His yoke is easy because He bears the weight we cannot carry. His gentleness and lowliness display the heart of God, not in distant power, but in personal compassion.
Today, ponder this: Are you carrying burdens that Jesus is inviting you to lay down?
