Day 22 • Summary • 2 Samuel 3:22–16
After seven years, David became king over all of Israel, and his forces conquered Jerusalem. When David desires to construct a permanent home for the Ark of the Covenant, the LORD reveals that the task will fall to his son. Still, God promises to establish David’s kingdom and throne forever. At the height of his success, David commits adultery with Bathsheba and orders the death of her husband, leading to continuous conflict within his family and the kingdom.
