Circumstances

Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge.

From time to time, all of us must endure unpleasant circumstances. We find ourselves in situations that we didn’t ask for and probably don’t deserve. During these times, we try our best to “hold up under the circumstances.” But God has a better plan: He intends for us to rise above our circumstances, and He’s promised to help us do it.

Are you dealing with a difficult situation or a tough problem? Do you struggle with occasional periods of discouragement and doubt? Are you worried, weary, or downcast? If so, don’t face tough times alone. Face them with God as your partner, your protector, and your guide. When you do, He will give you the strength to meet any challenge, the courage to face any problem, and the patience to endure any circumstance.

Today I know that such memories are the key not to the past, but to the future. I know that the experiences of our lives, when we let God use them, become the mysterious and perfect preparation for the work He will give us to do.
