Day 9: Finding Joy in Obedience
Obedience to God’s commandments may not immediately strike us as a source of Joy. In a world that often equates freedom with the absence of restrictions, the concept of obedience can be misunderstood as burdensome or limiting.
However, Jesus presents a different narrative. He tells us that obeying God’s commandments results in "full" Joy (John 15:10-11). It’s an invitation into a deeper relationship with God where obedience becomes a natural expression of our love for Him, much like how a child willingly obeys a loving parent.
In obeying God, we align ourselves with His Perfect Will and experience a life that is more fulfilling and purposeful. This obedience doesn’t restrict us; rather, it frees us to live in a way that brings both honor to God and authentic Joy to our lives.

Reflect on an area of your life where you’ve been resistant to God’s Guidance. Make a conscious decision to obey Him in that area and observe how this act of obedience influences your Joy.
