Let's Talk About Honor and Mutual RespectNäide

Humility means to think about the needs of others before our needs. This is not just how we treat others; it’s in how we let others treat us. A person who is respecting us the way God tells them to is someone who thinks about our needs, knows what’s best for us, and pays attention to what we say we want rather than just what they want. That’s humility, and that’s how God wants us all to be treated.
If there’s someone in your life who doesn’t treat you this way, talk to a parent or your small group leader about what it looks like to make a change in that relationship. And if you’re someone who needs help treating others with humility, ask that same trusted adult for encouragement to do so!
