JamesNäide

In this passage, James is bringing an awareness to our natural bend towards selfish ambition. We all have moments when we fall into the trap of greed and are blinded by our own desires. We begin to ruthlessly strive for what we want no matter what it takes, how much it costs, or who we hurt in the process. Living this way ultimately ends in feeling empty even if we get what we were striving towards. What God wants for our lives is so much more! He desires for us to live a life of abundance. This comes by surrendering to His will and walking in the perfect plan He has for our lives. By doing this, we are able to desire what God desires allowing us to fulfill all He has in store for His Kingdom. This then switches our selfish perspective to a Kingdom perspective, producing an impact that far outlives anything we could accomplish for ourselves.
Prayer points:
- Pray to desire what God desires.
- Pray for pure motives.
- Pray for a Kingdom perspective.
