Gracious Heavenly Father - #2Näide

Gracious Heavenly Father,
You are calling us to move forward,
to step out and take hold
of all that You have promised us,
in and through Christ Jesus, Your son.
Joy.
Hope.
Peace.
Love.
Strength.
Comfort.
Forgiveness.
Mercy.
Grace.
Salvation.
All of these are ours for the taking,
ours for the enjoying,
ours for the living,
ours for all eternity,
if - - -
we are willing, in faith,
to step out into them,
to possess what You have placed before us,
to receive what You have already given.
Lord,
may we not be
like the ten spies
who ventured into the promised land
only to turn around
in fear and trembling.
May we not be
like these ten,
and talk ourselves out
of all that You
are calling us to.
May we instead,
Father God,
be like Joshua and Caleb.
Instead of looking
at our giants,
may we look at You.
Instead of worrying
about defeat,
may we be warriors
unto victory.
Instead of turning back,
may we courageously
step forward.
May we not focus
on all that would
keep us from living in
the land of Your blessings,
the place of Your promise.
May we, instead,
focus on You,
and with great excitement,
hopeful anticipation,
unwavering faith,
take hold of all
that You have so graciously
placed before us.
In Jesus' precious name
we pray.
Amen~
