Fervent: Fight Fear With Faith Näide

Sometimes, when our situation seems bleak with no ray of hope, we can grow weary of waiting for a breakthrough. Bearing the burden of affliction and daily uncertainty is tiring. But our Lord encourages us even in this. He puts a boundary to it – “after you have suffered a while”. Sometimes the “while” can seem too long, but in God’s plan, it is in perfect time. Our God will strengthen us, perfect us, establish us, and settle us. What comforting words those are – “strengthen”, “perfect”, “establish”, and “settle”. All of them reflect God’s character. He knows and cares about each of our struggles and pain. He will work this out for “eternal glory”. What a hope we have to look forward to. May we trust His greatness to work all things for good.
Pray:
• Against a sense of weakness, whether from temptations, illness, fear, or unbelief.
• For strength through the power of Jesus Christ.
• That we would not fear any evil or scheme of hell, but trust wholly in the greatness of our God.
