Fervent: Fight Fear With Faith Näide

Have you been feeling particularly fruitless and unproductive during this pandemic? Do the days either go by in a blur or does each minute seem to last an eternity, with no work getting done? Let us take heart. Our calling does not depend on our work. Let that sink in. Today, even if all we are faced with are the four walls of our home, that is not a prison. That is the place God chose, before eternity, for us to be in for this period. And it is the most productive, perfect place at the moment. Let us take heart to this truth. The Lord doesn’t need our “works”. He has a divine purpose that is working during this time for an “eternal weight of glory”. He planned this before time began and as much as we may not have chosen this for ourselves, let us submit to His sovereignty and trust that He will work this out for glorious good!
Pray:
• For a sense of purpose and motivation to fuel our days based on the knowledge that this is a God-ordained time.
• Against the spirit of frustration where we need to see our “works” to feel loved, accepted, or worthy.
• For joy in the midst of suffering and uncertainty.
