Lead Like Jesus: 21 Days of Leadership : Day 2

Like Sheep without a Shepherd

Jesus knows people, not only because He created them, but because He is one of us. He has walked in our paths, understood our stresses, struggled with our temptations, and is intimately acquainted with our needs. He came to earth because He loves us. He taught that loving others is a natural overflow of our love for God. He sends us to love people who desperately need to be loved, even if they cannot articulate that need. How are you following in His footsteps?

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.—Matthew 9:36

Prayer: Jesus, help me to see people through Your eyes today. Help me to interact with them at the level of their need. Help me to provide the guidance and encouragement they need. Help me to be a good shepherd of those within my care. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
