## Yours Forever Hey Friends, I just wanted to thank you for taking a little time to come here and read my Overflow Devo plan on YouVersion. We're on this journey of discovering all God our Father has for us together. Let's dive in. ...I was thinking about the story that we know so well of the prodigal son. I would probably be the first one to say, "I know that", but let's take another look at the thing we think we might know and know it for the first time today. This is how I imagine it. Think about the father of that child, that was I'm sure, eagerly looking out the window daily, heart breaking, just hoping he would see a figure in the distance walking up the drive way. One particular morning, I imagine that father coming to the window like normal and glancing out, at first nothing, then something. He begins to rub the sleep out of his eyes and do a double take, sure enough, it's his son. He throws open the door and doesn't just walk, but runs out to meet him. He places a robe around his neck and puts his priced ring on his finger and decides to throw him a party saying "my child was dead and is alive again, he was lost and is found" and they began to party... Do we get this? Do we see the heart of the Father for us? If we don't know it and are not intimately acquainted with it daily, we'll miss it entirely. We will always be "looking for love" in the wrong place, seeking to satisfy outside of the only one who will ever be enough. The Bible says "we love Him, because He first loved us" -1 John 4:19 Today, let's dive into the heart of the matter, let's breathe Him in and let love infiltrate and change everything we think we know. God is love and to know Him in full is to know the love He has for us "to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God". -Ephesians 3:19 When we "taste and see" real love, we will forever be spoiled to the things of this world and our life will declare "I'm Yours Forever my love."
