Holy Spirit Release The gathering shook with the power of God, but the intention was to shake loose the city. Charged with supernatural power, the apostles preach the Gospel and confront the spiritual forces which hold the city in darkness and fear. Though bullied by jailing, and threatened by the same power structure that crucified Jesus, they are continually being filled with the Holy Spirit. The revival that began at Pentecost, continuing in miracle signs and wonders, now reduces the forces of darkness to empty threats before the genuine power of the living Church in action. The lying threats of the devil are no match for the unmistakable power of the Holy Spirit. Demons would intimidate us into silence, torment us with fears, and bring despair through circumstance unless we, as Spirit-filled believers in Christ, receive a fresh work of Holy Spirit power each day.
