Psalms 35:7
Psalms 35:4-8 The Message (MSG)
When those thugs try to knife me in the back, make them look foolish. Frustrate all those who are plotting my downfall. Make them like cinders in a high wind, with GOD’s angel working the bellows. Make their road lightless and mud-slick, with GOD’s angel on their tails. Out of sheer cussedness they set a trap to catch me; for no good reason they dug a ditch to stop me. Surprise them with your ambush— catch them in the very trap they set, the disaster they planned for me.
Psalms 35:7 King James Version (KJV)
For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, Which without cause they have digged for my soul.
Psalms 35:7 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
For without cause they hid their net for me; Without cause they dug a pit for my soul.
Psalms 35:7 New Century Version (NCV)
For no reason they spread out their net to trap me; for no reason they dug a pit for me.
Psalms 35:7 American Standard Version (ASV)
For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit; Without cause have they digged a pit for my soul.
Psalms 35:7 New International Version (Anglicised) (NIVUK)
Since they hid their net for me without cause and without cause dug a pit for me
Psalms 35:7 New King James Version (NKJV)
For without cause they have hidden their net for me in a pit, Which they have dug without cause for my life.
Psalms 35:7 Amplified Bible (AMP)
For without cause they hid their net for me; Without cause they dug a pit [of destruction] for my life.
Psalms 35:7 New Living Translation (NLT)
I did them no wrong, but they laid a trap for me. I did them no wrong, but they dug a pit to catch me.
