Luke 20:33
Luke 20:27-33 The Message (MSG)
Some Sadducees came up. This is the Jewish party that denies any possibility of resurrection. They asked, “Teacher, Moses wrote us that if a man dies and leaves a wife but no child, his brother is obligated to marry her and give her children. Well, there once were seven brothers. The first took a wife. He died childless. The second married her and died, then the third, and eventually all seven had their turn, but no child. After all that, the wife died. That wife, now—in the resurrection whose wife is she? All seven married her.”
Luke 20:33 King James Version (KJV)
Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them is she? for seven had her to wife.
Luke 20:33 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
In the resurrection therefore, which one’s wife will she be? For all seven had married her.”
Luke 20:33 New Century Version (NCV)
Since all seven brothers had married her, whose wife will she be when people rise from the dead?”
Luke 20:33 American Standard Version (ASV)
In the resurrection therefore whose wife of them shall she be? for the seven had her to wife.
Luke 20:33 New International Version (Anglicised) (NIVUK)
Now then, at the resurrection whose wife will she be, since the seven were married to her?’
Luke 20:33 New King James Version (NKJV)
Therefore, in the resurrection, whose wife does she become? For all seven had her as wife.”
Luke 20:33 Amplified Bible (AMP)
So in the [life after] resurrection, whose wife does she become? For all seven had married her.”
Luke 20:33 New Living Translation (NLT)
So tell us, whose wife will she be in the resurrection? For all seven were married to her!”
