The 14 Descendants of Japheth
(1 Chronicles 1:4–7)
1This is the account of Noah’s sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and their descendants. Shem, Ham and Japheth had children after the flood.
2Japheth’s descendants were
Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.
3Gomer’s descendants were
Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.
4Javan’s descendants were
the people from Elishah, Tarshish, Cyprus, and Rhodes.#10:4 1 Chronicles 1:7, Samaritan Pentateuch, Greek; Masoretic Text “the Dodanim.”
5From these descendants the people of the coastlands spread into their own countries. Each nation had its own language and families.
The 30 Descendants of Ham
(1 Chronicles 1:8–16)
6Ham’s descendants were
Cush, Egypt, Put, and Canaan.
7Cush’s descendants were
Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca.
Raamah’s descendants were
Sheba and Dedan.
8Cush was the father of Nimrod, the first mighty warrior on the earth. 9He was a mighty hunter whom the Lord blessed. That’s why people used to say, “⌞He’s⌟ like Nimrod, a mighty hunter whom the Lord blessed.” 10The first ⌞cities⌟ in his kingdom were Babylon, Erech, Accad, and Calneh in Shinar [Babylonia]. 11He went from that land to Assyria and built Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, Calah, 12and Resen, the great city between Nineveh and Calah.
13Egypt was the ancestor of
the Ludites, Anamites, Lehabites, Naphtuhites, 14Pathrusites, Casluhites (from whom the Philistines came), and the Caphtorites.
15Canaan was the father of
Sidon his firstborn, then Heth, 16also the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites, 17the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites, 18the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites.
Later the Canaanite families scattered. 19The border of the Canaanites extended from Sidon toward Gerar as far as Gaza and then toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim as far as Lasha.
20These were Ham’s descendants by families and languages within their countries and nations.
The 26 Descendants of Shem
(1 Chronicles 1:17–23)
21Shem, Japheth’s older brother, also had children. ⌞Shem was⌟ the ancestor of all the sons of Eber.
22Shem’s descendants were
Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram.
23Aram’s descendants were
Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.
24Arpachshad was the father of Shelah,
and Shelah was the father of Eber.
25Two sons were born to Eber.
The name of the one was Peleg [Division], because in his day the earth was divided.
His brother’s name was Joktan.
26Joktan was the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, 27Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, 28Obal, Abimael, Sheba, 29Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. These were Joktan’s sons. 30The region where they lived extended from Mesha toward Sephar in the eastern mountains.
31These were Shem’s descendants by families and languages within their countries according to their nations.
32These were the families of Noah’s sons listed by their genealogies, nation by nation. From these ⌞descendants⌟ the nations spread over the earth after the flood.

Ang mga Lahi ng mga Anak ni Noe
(1~Cro. 1:5‑23)
1Ito ang salaysay tungkol sa mga pamilya ng mga anak ni Noe na sina Shem, Ham at Jafet. Nagkaroon sila ng mga anak pagkatapos ng baha.
Ang mga Lahi ni Jafet
2Ang mga lalaking anak ni Jafet ay sina Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Mesec at Tiras.
3Ang mga anak ni Gomer ay sina Askenaz, Rifat at Togarma.
4Ang mga anak naman ni Javan ay sina Elisha, Tarsis, Kitim at Dodanim.#10:4 Dodanim: O Rodanim. 5Ito ang mga lahi ni Jafet. Sila ang pinagmulan ng mga tao na nakatira sa mga dalampasigan at mga isla. Ang bawat pamilya nila ay nakatira sa sarili nilang lugar na sakop ng bansa nila, at may sarili silang wika.
Ang mga Lahi ni Ham
6Ang mga anak ni Ham ay sina Cus, Mizraim,#10:6 Mizraim: Sa Hebreo, Ehipto. Put at Canaan.
7Ang mga anak ni Cus ay sina Seba, Havila, Sabta, Raama at Sabteca.
Ang mga anak ni Raama ay sina Saba at Dedan.
8May isa pang anak si Cus na ang pangalan ay Nimrod. Siya ay isang magiting na mandirigma sa daigdig. 9Alam ng Panginoon#10:9 Alam ng Panginoon: Sa literal, sa harapan ng Panginoon. Maaaring ang ibig sabihin, tanyag siyang lubos. na mahusay siyang mangangaso; dito nanggaling ang kasabihang, “Katulad ka ni Nimrod na alam ng Panginoon na mahusay na mangangaso.” 10Ang unang kaharian na pinamahalaan ni Nimrod ay ang Babilonia, Erec, Acad. Ang lahat ng ito#10:10 Ang lahat ng ito: O, lugar na Calne. ay sakop ng Sinar. 11Mula sa mga lugar na iyon, pumunta siya sa Asiria at itinayo ang Nineve, Rehobot-ir, Cale, 12at Resen na nasa gitna ng Nineve at ng Cale na isang tanyag na lungsod.

15Si Canaan ang ama ni Sidon, na kanyang panganay at pinagmulan ng mga Sidoneo. Si Canaan din ang ninuno ng mga Heteo#10:15 Heteo Si Het na kapatid ni Sidon ang kanilang ninuno., 16Jebuseo, Amoreo, Gergeseo, 17Heveo, Araceo, Sineo, 18Arvadeo, Zemareo, at Hamateo.
Sa bandang huli, nangalat ang mga lahi ni Canaan. 19Ang hangganan ng kanilang lupain ay mula sa Sidon papuntang Gerar hanggang sa Gaza, at umabot sa Sodoma, Gomora, Adma, Zeboim at hanggang sa Lasa.
20Ito ang mga lahi ni Ham. Ang bawat pamilya nila ay nakatira sa kanilang sariling lupain na sakop ng kanilang bansa, at may sarili silang wika.
Ang mga Lahi ni Shem
21Si Shem na nakatatandang kapatid ni Jafet ay nagkaroon din ng mga anak na lalaki. Si Shem ang pinagmulan ng lahat ng mga lahi ni Heber.#10:21 Heber: Ang pangalang ito ay may kaugnayan sa pangalang Hebreo.
22Ang mga lalaking anak ni Shem
ay sina Elam, Asur, Arfaxad, Lud at Aram.
23Ang mga anak na lalaki ni Aram
ay sina Uz, Hul, Geter at Mas.
24Si Arfaxad ang ama ni Shela,
at si Shela ang ama ni Heber.
25May dalawang anak na lalaki si Heber.
Ang isa ay pinangalanang Peleg,#10:25 Peleg: Ang ibig sabihin, pagkahati-hati. dahil noong panahon niya, ang daigdig ay nahati-hati; ang pangalan naman ng kanyang kapatid ay Joctan.
26Si Joctan ang ama nina
Almodad, Selef, Hazarmavet, Jera, 27Hadoram, Uzal, Dicla, 28Obal, Abimael, Seba, 29Ofir, Havila at Jobab. Silang lahat ay mga lalaking anak ni Joctan.
30Ang lupaing tinitirhan nila ay mula sa Mesha at papunta sa Sefar, sa kaburulan sa silangan.
31Ito ang mga lahi ni Shem. Ang bawat pamilya nila ay nakatira sa sarili nilang lupain na sakop ng kanilang bansa, at may sarili silang wika.
32Ito ang lahat ng lahi ng mga anak ni Noe, na nasa ibaʼt ibang bansa. Sa kanila nagmula ang mga bansa sa buong mundo pagkatapos ng baha.
