Psalms 55:13-18

Whether it’s the loss of a loved one, an end of a relationship, sickness, or a seemingly unfulfilled promise, pain and suffering affect us all. Is God close to the brokenhearted? If so, how should we respond in these times? This plan will walk through the journeys of different people in the Bible who walked through disappointment and see how their pain drew them closer to God.

Betrayal is devastating. It produces a feeling of worthlessness for trusting an untrustworthy person. We respond to betrayal in anger. We seek to get even or make our betrayers suffer for how they've wronged us. In this plan we'll look at what the Bible teaches on how we should respond to betrayals with the prayer to be victorious over your own abandonment or violation of trust and eventually move on. 

Ahithophel was a trusted counselor of King David. But because of bitterness, he betrayed him and joined hands with the conspiracy of Absalom, and finally, he ended his life tragically by committing suicide. I don’t think anyone could say life is easy. It’s filled with twists and turns and unexpected tangents. Many times these twists and turns are challenging.
