But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was bruised mei'avonoteinu (for our iniquities); the musar (chastisement) that brought us shalom was upon him [Moshiach]; and at the cost of his [Moshiachʼs] chaburah (stripes, lacerations) we are healed.
