Matthew 1:20 God desires to grant his favor to those who are committed to living for him—whose hearts align with his heart. In fact, he is searching for them. He is attracted to individuals who are righteous in his sight; he gives attention to those who act in obedience to his Word. The genealogy of Jesus names generations of individuals who pursued God and who received God's supernatural favor in their lives. The same favor that was extended to Joseph and Mary, the parents of Jesus on earth, is available to us today. Favor positions us to be used by God in mighty ways. Favor prompts the Holy Spirit to supernaturally act on our behalf. Favor protects us from natural outcomes. Today, seek God. Purify your heart.
