Wer andere ermahnen und ermutigen kann, der nutze diese Gabe. Wer Bedürftige unterstützt, soll das gerecht und unparteiisch tun. Wer eine Gemeinde zu leiten hat, der setze sich ganz für sie ein. Wer sich um Menschen in Not kümmert, der soll es gerne tun. Eure Liebe soll aufrichtig sein. Und wie ihr das Böse hassen müsst, sollt ihr das Gute lieben. Seid in herzlicher Liebe miteinander verbunden, gegenseitige Achtung soll euer Zusammenleben bestimmen. Bewältigt eure Aufgaben mit Fleiß und werdet nicht nachlässig. Lasst euch ganz von Gottes Geist durchdringen und dient Gott, dem Herrn. Seid fröhlich in der Hoffnung darauf, dass Gott seine Zusagen erfüllt. Bleibt standhaft, wenn ihr verfolgt werdet. Und lasst euch durch nichts vom Gebet abbringen. Helft anderen Christen, die in Not geraten sind, und seid gastfreundlich! Bittet Gott um seinen Segen für alle, die euch verfolgen, ja, segnet sie, anstatt sie zu verfluchen. Freut euch mit den Fröhlichen! Weint aber auch mit den Trauernden!
