Gott hat jedem von uns unterschiedliche Gaben geschenkt. Hat jemand die Gabe bekommen, in Gottes Auftrag prophetisch zu reden, dann muss dies mit der Lehre unseres Glaubens übereinstimmen. Wem Gott einen praktischen Dienst übertragen hat, der soll ihn gewissenhaft ausführen. Wer die Gemeinde im Glauben unterweist, soll diesem Auftrag gerecht werden. Wer andere ermahnen und ermutigen kann, der nutze diese Gabe. Wer Bedürftige unterstützt, soll das gerecht und unparteiisch tun. Wer eine Gemeinde zu leiten hat, der setze sich ganz für sie ein. Wer sich um Menschen in Not kümmert, der soll es gerne tun. Eure Liebe soll aufrichtig sein. Und wie ihr das Böse hassen müsst, sollt ihr das Gute lieben. Seid in herzlicher Liebe miteinander verbunden, gegenseitige Achtung soll euer Zusammenleben bestimmen. Bewältigt eure Aufgaben mit Fleiß und werdet nicht nachlässig. Lasst euch ganz von Gottes Geist durchdringen und dient Gott, dem Herrn. Seid fröhlich in der Hoffnung darauf, dass Gott seine Zusagen erfüllt. Bleibt standhaft, wenn ihr verfolgt werdet. Und lasst euch durch nichts vom Gebet abbringen.
