Die Globale Gebetswoche 2025 stützt sich auf den 1. Petrusbrief, einen Brief, der geschrieben wurde, um Gläubige zu ermutigen, die Verfolgung ausgesetzt sind. Petrus erinnert uns daran, dass wir durch die Auferstehung Jesu eine lebendige Hoffnung haben – nicht nur für die Zukunft, sondern auch für unsere gegenwärtigen Freuden und Kämpfe. Inmitten globaler Herausforderungen und persönlicher Kämpfe stehen wir gemeinsam fest im Gebet und in der Dankbarkeit. Auf Christus, dem festen Felsen, stehen wir!

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is a yearly reminder of Jesus’ prayer for his disciples that “they may be one so that the world may believe” (see John 17.21). The theme in 2016, "Called to proclaim the mighty acts of the Lord", is inspired by two verses from the First Letter of St Peter. The resources have been prepared by members of different churches in Latvia.
