You can work hard, plan well, and build something great, but without God, human effort alone is not enough.
The Hebrew word translated "in vain" is “shav”. It means empty, hollow, devoid of substance.
Our job was never to carry everything, our job is to faithfully carry what God assigns, and to trust Him with what He didn't.
Point 1: Just Because You Can Do It Doesn't Mean God Called You to Do It
If God didn't order it, don't put it in your bag.
Point 2: Working Hard Is Biblical, but Striving Is Not
Working is obedience. Striving is unbelief.
Point 3: Turn Down the Noise So You Can Hear His Voice
God is speaking, but our lives are too loud to hear Him.
God wants all of you, not to weigh you down, but to relieve the stress of what you are carrying your were never meant to.
God wants all of you, not to weigh you down, but to relieve the stress of what you are carrying your were never meant to.
You Were Designed to Hear Him
God may not need to get louder. You may need to change your location.
If I consistently cannot hear God where I am, I have to ask whether God is calling me out of where I am.
Imagine missing the whisper because you’re addicted to the earthquake.
Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God.”
Put the fries in the bag and get back to what God actually told you to do.
We need to get quiet enough to hear what God has already been saying to us.
John 10:27 “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”
You were designed to hear His voice.
