Mateus 28:17

There might be a reason you sometimes wonder why Christians go to church. Maybe church was never meant to be just another place to go. Whether you’re worn out by church or wondering where you fit, it’s a great time to see what the Bible says about being the Church. Start this Life.Church Bible Plan to go along with Pastor Craig Groeschel’s series, Stop Going to Church .

As New York pastor Rich Villodas defines it, a deeply formed life is a life marked by integration, intersection, intertwining, and interweaving, holding together multiple layers of spiritual formation. This kind of life calls us to be people who cultivate lives with God in prayer, move toward reconciliation, work for justice, have healthy inner lives, and see our bodies and sexuality as gifts to steward.

Are you experiencing a wilderness season, finding no water or oasis for your soul? What if this season held the greatest hope of all: to know God’s Presence intimately, authentically, and passionately? This devotional encourages you that this time is not wasted, though some days you feel as if you are going nowhere. Because no matter what terrain you tread, God is journeying with you as Comforter, Life-giver, & Friend.

Who are you becoming? If you envision yourself at age 70, 80, or 100, what kind of person do you see on the horizon? Does the projection in your mind fill you with hope? Or dread? In this devotional, John Mark Comer shows us how we can be spiritually formed to become more like Jesus day by day.
