Hark! The Herald Angels Sing

The apostle John begins his account of the life of Jesus at it’s true point, “in the beginning”. The date of the birth of the Son was merely a chosen point in history to bring redemption to humanity through the life that already existed. The Son of God, who was with God in the beginning, became flesh to dwell among us. Not the start of a new life, but Life Himself had arrived. Life that would bring light, light that would show the way to find relationship with God once again.

The wonder of it all is that those who received Him and believed in His Name, He gave the right to become children of God. Wow! Becoming a child of the Most High, through receiving the true light and author of life that was born to us. Let’s bask in that today, knowing our security in being a part of His great family, living in the light of His grace and love.
